A Different Kind of Mother’s Day
I guess it was bound to happen. Recently I’ve been bragging about how Sofia hasn’t been sick for so long, in fact she hasn’t been sick once in 2012. On Saturday morning she woke up early and I could tell something was wrong. By noon her temperature had reached 103 F so I gave her some Tylenol. Sometimes we get so caught up in the commercialism of Mother’s day that we forget to pause and reflect on what this day really means to us. If it wasn’t for our mothers none of us would be here today. What we need to celebrate is life and the fact that our mothers chose to have us.
